WHERE TO BUY
MADE FROM KOSH BROKEN OATS.
1/4 cup of Cooked Chickpeas
3/4 cup Kosh Broken Oats
1 tablespoon of Ghee
1 Bay leaf
1 Cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
1 small Onion (slice it thin)
1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1 small Tomato
2 tablespoons of chopped Mint leaves
2 tablespoons of chopped Coriander leaves
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp biryani masala
Salt to taste
1 cup of Water
Soak Chickpeas overnight and pressure cook them for three whistles. Drain the water and keep it aside.
In a pressure cooker, heat ghee and add cloves, bayleaf, cinnamon stick, fennel seeds. Gently roast it and allow it to release nice aroma.
Add the sliced onion and saute till it becomes translucent
Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute without burning in the bottom.
Add chopped tomato and continue sauting.
Once the onion,tomato become soft and mushy, add mint leaves, coarinder leaves, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well and cook till raw smell of masala goess off.
Add Kosh broken oats, boiled chickpeas and a cup of water and pressure cook it for two whistles.
Once the steam releases, fluff it off.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it with raita.
