GREEN PEAS AND CORN PULAO
MADE FROM KOSH BROKEN OATS.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 green cardamom
  • ¼ tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 medium size red onion, finely sliced
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 green chilli, minced
  • ¼ cup of fresh green peas
  • ¼ cup of fresh sweet corn
  • ½ cup of Kosh Broken Oats
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Fried Cashew nuts for garnishing

Method

  • Dry roast the Kosh Broken Oats and place it aside.
  • In a pressure cooker, heat ghee. Once it melts, add star anise, cloves, cardamom, fennel seeds and bay leaf.
  • Once the spices are roasted and starts releasing nice aroma, add onion and saute till it becomes translucent.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and green chilli and roast till the raw smell goes off.
  • Add the green peas and sweet corn. Give a nice stir. Add the broken oats and 1 cup of water.
  • Pressure cook it for 2 whistles. Once the steam suppresses, remove the lid and fluff it using fork.
  • Serve with any gravy.
