Ingredients

    For Idiappam:
  • 1 cup of Kosh Oats + Wheat Atta
  • Salt to taste
  • Water to make a dough
  • 1 tbsp Gingelly oil
    For Serving:
  • ½ cup fresh Coconut
  • Ghee
  • ¼ cup Sugar

Method

  • Steam the Kosh Oats + Wheat Atta for 10 minutes.
  • Once done, crumble the flour if there are any lumps.
  • Add salt and mix well. Boil water and add water slowly to the flour and make a smooth dough.
  • Allow the dough to cool for some time. Divide the dough into equal parts.
  • Coat the Idiappam press with oil. Apply oil in Idiappam stand. This prevents the dough sticking to it.
  • Fill the dough into the idiappam press. Close the lid and press it as noodles on the Idiappam stand.
  • Steam it for 10-12 minutes. After 12 minutes, allow it to cool and transfer the noodles to another plate.
  • Serve hot with grated coconut, sugar and ghee.
