Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 8 tbsp Kosh oats Atta
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 4 tbsp roohafza / rose flavoured syrup
  • Sugar if required

Method

  • Dissolve the cornflour in half cup milk.
  • Mix the oats in little milk to make a paste and then add more so that you form a smooth batter.
  • Heat the rest of the milk on medium flame and bring to a boil. As it boils, reduce heat and pour in the oats while stirring the milk constantly.
  • Add cornflour and continue to cook, for say 5-7 minutes, till a thick mixture is formed.
  • Add in the rose flavoured syrup and mix well. If you feel it's not as sweet as you want then add 2 to 5 tbsp of sugar as per the sweetness you desire. I didn't add any as I wanted it to be mildly sweet . If you add sugar then stir it well so that the sugar dissolves in it.
  • Cook it for 2 more minutes on very slow flame , but keep on stirring it all the time to avoid lumps.
  • Pour into moulds and freeze till set. Unmould and serve.
  • You may pour some more Syrup on top of the kulfi like a gola and top With some Nuts.
