Ingredients

    For Momo Dough:
  • 1 Cup Kosh Oats + Wheat Atta
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • Water for making smooth dough
    For Stuffing:
  • 1tsp plain oil
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • ¼ cup red onion
  • ½ cup grated white cabbage
  • ½ cup grated fresh carrot
  • ¼ cup finely chopped green capsicum
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp red chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce

Method

    For Momo Dough:
  • Mix salt and flour and start adding water till the dough achieves the usual consistency required for rolling it.
  • Towards the end, add oil and knead it for 10 minutes
  • Keep aside covered.
    For Stuffing:
  • In a kadhai, heat oil.
  • Add finely chopped garlic and sauté it till it has fried well.
  • Add onion and continue sautéing till it becomes translucent.
  • Add green capsicum, carrot and cabbage. Sauté till all ingredients bind well.
  • Add red chilli sauce, soy sauce and salt. Mix well.
  • Cool down before stuffing.
    For Assembling:
  • Divide the dough into big Amla size balls.
  • Roll into small circular discs of approx. 3 inches.
  • Keep a tablespoon of stuffing inside.
  • Beginning from the one end of the disc, start pleating on one side and seal it’s edge to other side.
  • Once done, slightly make cure and arrange it in the momo steamer.
  • Repeat the above steps with rest of the dough balls and steam it for 10 minutes.
  • Serve it with Red dipping sauce
