KOSH OATS VEGETABLE UTHAPAM

Ingredients

  • 100 gm Kosh Broken Oats
  • 2 tbsp thin semiya (broken)
  • 1 cube cheese
  • Green /red /yellow capsicum (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Palak (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 1 carrot (cut in small cubes)
  • 1 tbsp broccoli (shredded)
  • 1 tbsp onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Garam masala powder (as required)
  • ½ tsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1 tsp of butter

Method

  • Roast Kosh Broken Oats in dry pan and crush the roasted oats in a mixer to form granules of the desired size.
  • All the semiya to half a cup of water and boil until they soften. Drain excess water, if any.
  • Mix the cooked semiya well with the roasted and crushed oats, before adding coriander leaves and green chillies to the mix.
  • Take a dosa pan spread a tsp of butter over the surface. Pour the beaten mix of oats and semiya into a dosa-like form onto the pan.
  • Top the surface of the batter with the chopped vegetables and pour some butter/ghee on it. Cover it with a lid.
  • When the uthappam is cooked, grate cheese on top of it.
